Teams of 4 men and 4 ladies are selected from the pool of older stronger junior players at Oxstalls Badminton Academy to compete in division 6 of the Gloucestershire mens league and division 3 of the Gloucestershire ladies league. Both teams will play a total of 8 matches this season (4 home and 4 away).

Teams must have an adult chaperone present at the matches (a parent of one of the players). The chaperone may also act as team driver to away games - this is to be agreed and organised between parents of the players selected.

Match fees are £10 per player per match to help cover the cost of courts (£52) and match shuttles (£30). We will be using Yonex AS30 shuttles and each home match receives 1 tube of 12 shuttles sufficient for the 12 games which make up the match.

Match format is 4 players in a team numbered 1 to 4 play 2 rubbers to 21 (with setting) against the opposing team:

1+2 v 1+2

1+3 v 1+3

1+4 v 1+4

2+3 v 2+3

2+4 v 2+4

3+4 v 3+4

Each player plays a total of 6 rubbers in the match. Final possible scores are

12-0, 11-1, 10-2, 9-3, 8-4, 7-5, 6-6 5-7, 4-8, 3-9, 2-10, 1-11, 0-12
